Who Are We?
We are Matthew + Kasey Whichard, a husband and wife team that decided to make the move to the country in 2022 to expand the opportunities for our family and chase the dreams that God laid on our hearts! Together we own Whichard Construction & Design, an outdoor construction company out of Florida that specializes in home design + elegant backyard spaces. This experience gives us the ability to renovate our home into our DREAM FARM, one project at a time!
Why Are We Focusing On A Designated Space for The Cedar Lane Farmhouse?
After documenting our never ending home projects and also starting a successful home bakery in Summer of 2025,(I promise you’ve never had gourmet cookies like those!!) we decided that it was time to create an official website dedicated to our life and offerings on our Hobby Farm in Florida! Here you can learn about our projects, as well as preorder for upcoming bakery drops!
What is a HOBBY FARM?
Everything we do here on the Farm is for fun and for our chosen way of living!
We are dedicated to giving our children a life of exploring, experiences and independence! The Farm is not our primary work, or where our income stems from, but just a Hobby of plants, animals and offerings that we want to share with our community! AKA our HOBBY FARM!
We’ve been blessed to have our gorgeous Cedars that grow abundantly on our property, as well as thriving Muscadine vines that we harvest each Summer/Fall!
What Can You Expect Here?
In the Fall of 2026, we FINALLY opened our Farmstand to serve our city with fresh gourmet cookies, iced coffees, breads + Misc items from the farm!
All of our adventures and DIY projects to get these dreams started are documented over on our facebook page found here: Cedar Lane Farmhouse! You can also catch the blogs of our DIY projects in depth on these pages, as well as all of the links to our favorite items used! We are also dedicated followers of Jesus Christ, and our faith is the most important thing for our family. On this site we hope to share the love and encouragement that we feel daily from God with the others around us!
We Are So Glad You Found Us!
Its no secret that everyone seems to be chasing the same dream of slower living and a peaceful life… and thats what we want to offer here on The Cedar Lane Farmhouse site. A space to revel in old practices that have been lost, and to find new ways of learning about and loving Jesus in our day to day lives. We are thrilled to have you here on this Journey with us!!
